Located in the Gulf of Gabes, Djerba is the largest island which is located on the northern end of Tunisia Djerba is often branded as the “Isle of Forgetfulness,” which has attracted tourists because of its beautiful sandy beaches. Djerba is believed to be the land of lotus-eating people. It is a very huge island with lots of diversities located on the Gulf of Gabes. It is an enigmatic place which is appreciated not only for its architecture but also for various Roman sites, pirates’ castle, shady gardens and many more. Djerba has a world of its own thus providing to the travelers the extreme pleasure of winding themselves. The island of Djerba has many villages but no towns. There are only few towns in Djerba which are worth visiting- Houmt Souq, Midoun, Ajim and Guellala. In Djerba, you can enjoy the most magnificent weather enjoying a variety of sports. You can also sail to the island which is inhabited by pink Flamingos. Get yourself immersed in the exciting music of tambourines and flutes or get mystified by the “Gougou” dancers in Midoun. The very hospitable and friendly Djerba welcomes the tourists to have a close shove with ultra modern and traditional life-style of Djerban culture...
